இலங்கையின் புதிய ஜனாதிபதியின் பதவியேற்பைத் தொடர்ந்து புலம்பெயர் நாடுகளில் இயங்கிவரும் தமிழீழ அரசியல் துறையினர் உத்தியோகபூர்வ கடிதம் ஒன்றை கொழும்பு ஜனாதிபதி செயலகத்திற்கு அனுப்பி வைத்துள்ளனர்.
நாட்டின் ஒன்பதாவது அரச தலைவராக அனுரகுமார திஸ்ஸநாயக்க பெரும்பான்மை மக்களால் தெரிவுசெய்யப்பட்டதையிட்டு தமது மகிழ்ச்சியையும் பாராட்டுக்களையும் தெரிவித்திருந்ததோடு ஈழத் தமிழ் மக்களின் நீண்ட காலக் கோரிக்கையான இறைமையையும்இ சுயநிர்ணய உரிமையையும் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட, தன்னாட்சி அதிகாரத்தைத் தமிழர்களுக்கு வழங்குவதன் மூலம் மட்டுமே, இந்த நாட்டில் நிரந்தர அமைதி தோற்றுவிக்கப்படும் வாய்ப்புள்ளதென நாம் உறுதியாக எண்ணுகிறோம் என்ற தமது கோரிக்கையையும் மேற்படி கடிதத்தில் தெரிவித்திருந்தனர்.

வாழ்த்துச் செய்தி
மாண்புமிகு அனுர குமார திசாநாயக்க அவர்களுக்கு,
இலங்கையில் வாழும் அனைத்து மாந்தருக்கும் சமத்துவமான, புதியதொரு யுகம் ஆரம்பிக்கப் போவதைக் கட்டியமாக அறிவித்து, அண்மையில் நடந்து முடிந்த இலங்கையின் ஒன்பதாவது சனாதிபதியைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் தேர்தலில், நீங்கள் ஈட்டிய மகத்தான வெற்றிக்கு, தமிழீழ மக்கள் சார்பில், எமது உளப்பூர்வமான வாழ்த்துகளையும், பாராட்டுகளையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம்.
உங்களது மக்கள் விடுதலை முன்னணி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டு, கடந்த 59 ஆண்டுகால வரலாற்றில், பல விபரிக்க முடியாத நெருக்கடிகளைச் சந்தித்த பின்னர், அவற்றையெல்லாம் கடந்து, சனநாயகம் என்ற ஆயுதத்தைக் கையில் ஏந்தி, பல ஆண்டுகளின் பின்பு, இன்று இந்த அழகிய தீவின் சனாதிபதி என்ற அதியுயர் பதவிக்கு தாங்கள் தெரிவானதையெண்ணி, எமது மக்கள் வியப்படைந்துள்ளார்கள்.
மனிதப் படுகொலைகளின் வலியை உணர்ந்த ஓர் பேரியக்கத்தின் பிரதிநிதி மட்டுமல்ல, பண்பாற்றல் மிக்க ஒரு இடதுசாரித் தலைவர், முதல்முறையாக இந்தப் பிராந்தியத்தில் ஆட்சிப் பீடம் ஏறுவது, நீண்ட காலமாக, சமூக, பொருளாதார, அரசியல் விடுதலை வேண்டி நீதியான போராட்டம் நடாத்தி வரும், எமக்கு புதியதொரு நம்பிக்கையினையும், எதிர்பார்ப்பினையும் தோற்றுவித்துள்ளது.
எங்களைப் போலில்லாவிட்டாலும், நீங்களும் அற்புதமான போராட்ட வரலாற்றையும், உன்னதமான புரட்சி அனுபவங்களையும், பல்லாயிரக் கணக்கான உயிரிழப்புக்களையும், கடந்த காலத்தில் கடந்துவந்தவர்கள் என்பதால், தமிழர்கள் சந்தித்த பேரழிவுகளையும், வலிகளையும், ஆறாத வடுக்களையும், உங்களால் நன்கு புரிந்து கொள்ள முடியும். அதனால்தான் காலம் தற்போது, உங்கள் கைகளில் நீதித் தராசை ஒப்படைத்துள்ளது. உங்கள் தலைமையின் கீழ் உருவாக்கப்படும் புதிய அரசாங்கத்தால், எமது தேசிய இனப் பிரச்சனை, நீதியான முறையில் தீர்க்கப்படும் என நாம் பலமாக நம்புகின்றோம்.
ஈழத் தமிழ் மக்களின் நீண்ட காலக் கோரிக்கையான இறைமையையும், சுயநிர்ணய உரிமையையும் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட, தன்னாட்சி அதிகாரத்தைத் தமிழர்களுக்கு வழங்குவதன் மூலம் மட்டுமே, இந்த நாட்டில் நிரந்தர அமைதி தோற்றுவிக்கப்படும் வாய்ப்புள்ளதென நாம் உறுதியாக எண்ணுகிறோம். இந்தத் தீவில் வாழும் அனைத்து இன மக்களும், சமத்துவமாகவும், கௌரவமாகவும் வழிநடத்தப்பட்டால் மட்டுமே, இலங்கையின் பல்லினச் சூழல் பாதுகாக்கப்படுவதோடு, இந்தத் தீவு எதிர்கொள்ளும், பொருளாதார நெருக்கடிக்கு, நிரந்தரத் தீர்வுகாணமுடியும், என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொண்டு, ஈழத்தமிழர் விடயத்தில், புதியதொரு அணுகுமுறையைக் கையாள்வீர்கள் என நாம் நம்புகிறோம்.

Running on a platform that promised a new era of equality for all, your victory marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s history.
Your leadership of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP / People’s Liberation Front), a party with a 59-year history of enduring indescribable hardships, has been one of perseverance and principled dedication to democracy. Despite the many obstacles you’ve faced, your rise to the presidency of this beautiful island comes as a surprise to our people, but also as a symbol of hope.
As a representative of a great movement that has itself experienced brutal losses, your ethical and revolutionary leftist leadership brings fresh hope to the Tamil people, who have long fought for socio-economic and political freedom. You are not only the leader of a party that has survived tragic losses, but you are someone who understands, perhaps better than most, the profound human cost of conflict.
While the suffering of your movement has not mirrored the full extent of the Tamil experience, you, too, have witnessed the loss of thousands of lives and felt the scars that remain. This shared experience, though distinct, grants you a unique insight into the devastating losses, pain, unhealed scars, and injustices endured by the Tamil people. Now, the balance of justice lies in your hands, and we firmly believe that under your leadership, Sri Lanka can finally address the long-standing ethnic conflict with fairness and justice.
We are confident that true peace can only be achieved by recognizing and granting the Tamil people the sovereignty and self-determination that has been their aspiration for generations. Only when the Tamil people, and all communities on this island, are treated with equality and dignity will Sri Lanka’s multi-ethnic fabric be preserved, and the island be able to overcome its economic and social challenges.
As you embark on this new chapter in Sri Lankan leadership, we trust that you will approach the issues of the Tamil people with fresh eyes and a just heart, recognizing that a fair resolution to the Tamil struggle is essential for lasting peace.
